EAGLE & OWL COTTAGES
Eagle and Owl Cottages are very rustic and are currently under renovation.
Each cottage has 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds, a lounge/living area (with a wood stove as a heater) and a couch and chairs. They boast fully equipped kitchens with a stove, fridge, cutlery and crockery as well as cooking utensils. A simple bathroom contains a shower, basin and toilet.
Each cottage has the option of an extra bed which would make them into to a 5 sleeper.
The rate for these cottages is R150 per person per night including servicing from Monay to Friday. Should you require cleaning over weekends, this is charged at R120 per day and needs to be organized in advance. Payment for weekend service is payable in cash directly to the cleaner.
Tierhoek is a piece of paradise containing 3 dams with Rainbow Trout and a self spawning Brown Trout dam. Unfortunately only Shareholders/Syndicate members have access to the Brown Trout Dam "AKA" Trophy Dam. An extra incentive to buy into this unique place.
Visitors to the Eagle and Owl Cottages have access to all 3 of the Rainbow Trout Dams at a rate of R100 per rod per day.
Tierhoek is a 15 minute drive away from two prime Brown Trout rivers: The Bushman's and the Mooi Rivers. Fishing in both of these rivers needs pior arrangement and will be charged separately.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Tierhoek also offers the following activities to guests at no additional charge:
Hiking: There are numerous trails around the farm with breathtaking views and tranquille streams providing a great place to cool off.
Mountain Biking: This is available by prior arrangement should you wish to leave the estate.
Birding: Tierhoek has some incredible birding opportunities and is a real treat for the birder as the estate is on the head of a wetland.
Picnics: Pack a basket and take the family on a picnic. Picnic spots both by the dams and up on the hills are accessible - the choice is yours!
